Bruce W. Brooks, a Retired Director for the Department of Defense, is the a past Board Chair of The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland.  Mr. Brooks holds a Bachelors and a Masters Degree. In July of 1991, he received a successful heart transplant.  He has been an avid supporter of and educator for organ and tissue donation ever since. 

Married for over 40 years, he and his wife Barbara have two adult daughters.  Together they enjoy sailing and spending the days with their two Labrador Retrievers.  He lives by the saying that “Every day is a gift, it’s what you make of it that counts. Enjoy Life.”
