Joseph R. Proulx, EdD, RN, is a tenured full professor at the School of Nursing, University of Maryland.  He is responsible for the graduate program in Administration of Healthcare Services.  He has received two honors for excellence in teaching; one at the national level (1985) and the other within the state of Maryland (1989).

Dr. Proulx has previously served on the front lines of healthcare as a staff nurse, nursing supervisor, and an assistant administrator in community hospitals in New York and Connecticut.
