
Jennifer Gelman is the director of Communications for The Living Legacy Foundation of Maryland. She is responsible for creating and executing educational and awareness programs for LLF’s donor service area, along with overseeing the company’s volunteer program, and Communications staff. She is an active member of the Assocation of Organ Procurement Organizations, serving as vice-chair for the PE/PR Council (2010-11) and chair (2011-12). Additionally, Gelman serves on the HRSA Workplace Partnership for Life Hospital Campaign Leadership team and is an active member of the DSA Action Team. With nearly nine years of experience, Gelman has helped successfully lead a diverse client base spanning, consumer products, automotive, healthcare and technology industries.
Prior to joining The Living Legacy Foundation, Gelman served as a Communication Coordinator at LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, where she was responsible for developing and executing public relations plans and campaigns for Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and Northwest Hospital Center. Most recognizably, she managed braVo!, a public relations campaign for the hospitals’ cancer services. Under her direction, the campaigned garnered 23 placements in local and national media earning more than 5 million media impressions and raising more than $60,000.
Gelman began her career at Cone, Inc, a consumer-marketing agency in Boston, where she worked on several high profile and successful cause-related marketing efforts for Yoplait, Columbo Yogurt, Wm.Wrigley Company, General Mills, Jiffy Lube and Lemelson-MIT among others. Jennifer graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, with a concentration in journalism.
