For Volunteers & Supporters

Donate Life Ambassadors, The Living Legacy Foundation’s volunteers, inspire Maryland's diverse communities to say "Yes" to organ, eye and tissue donation. And as the heart and soul of the Living Legacy Foundation's efforts to educate Marylanders about the importance of donation and transplantation, volunteers make an emotional connection with the public, motivating them to become a donor, sign-up on the Maryland Donor Registry and share their wishes with family.

Each year, the Donor Life Ambassadors with The Living Legacy Foundation have hundreds of opportunities to share their personal connection with donation and transplantation, speak with the media, build relationship, distribute information and participate in multicultural events.

Below are just a handful of programs in which volunteers can participate:

Donate Life Information Tables
Throughout the year, volunteers help distribute information on organ, eye and tissue donation and share their personal stories at health fairs and festivals. Volunteers are also encouraged to indentify events in their communities or simply choose one of the many events coordinated monthly.

Donate Life Speakers Bureau
Volunteers have the opportunity to share their stories about donation and transplantation with a variety of audiences including conferences, hospitals and civic organizations. Workshops are offered to help volunteers share their stories in the most compelling way.

Community Partners
Companies, cities, Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration field offices and civic organizations are in a position to educate their employees and inspire customers to donate life. Volunteers have the opportunity to reach out the community partners and bring their stories to the forefront.
