Team Maryland

Team Maryland is a group of transplant recipient, living donors, donor families and supporters, who compete in the Transplant Games – an athletic competition held every two years.

During the Games, transplant recipients and living donors compete in Olympic-style events. In additional, special events are organized for donor family members and living donors during this four day celebration of life. Recipients of all ages compete in a variety of events including track and field, tennis, basketball, bowling, badminton, volleyball, swimming, table tennis and racquetball.

The mission of the Transplant Games is to showcase the success of transplantation, promote the importance of donor designation and honoring those who have given the gift of life.
