Manager, Community Outreach

 

Ieesha began her career at OneLegacy, the organ procurement organization in Los Angeles, California; first as a hospital services coordinator for the organization, and eventually serving as in-house coordinator at one of the largest trauma centers in Los Angeles. She then joined The LLF as a hospital services coordinator in 2010 where she eventually became the manager of community outreach in 2016. As the manager for the team, she works to increase awareness of the need for organ, eye, and tissue donation throughout Maryland.  

Ieesha earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies from the California State University of Long Beach in Long Beach, California, and a Master of Science in Leadership and Management from La Verne University in La Verne, California. Ieesha is an active member of the American Public Health Association, the Baltimore Public Relations Council, and a committee member on the Institutional Review Board at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Ieesha formerly served as Chair of the Public Education and Public Relations Council at the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations. She currently serves as an Expert Panelist for The Division of Transplantation (DoT) within the Department of Health and Human Services Donation Education and Outreach Team and serves as a Board Member for the Association of Multicultural Affairs in Transplantation.
